The #WEARETOGETHER festival — friendship, ideas and plans for an international tomorrow 🤩
Big changes begin when volunteers, ideas, and energy unite. At the festival, the International Friendship Club of the Kaliningrad Region did more than just introduce themselves. They launched new initiatives for young people, international students, and anyone looking to forge cross-border friendships.
Let's share the results⬇️
🔹 we came up with the idea of geography lessons in Kaliningrad region schools that use live dialogue to share stories about countries and cultures
🔹 we have started negotiations with volunteer organizations and plan to collaborate with them at IFC events
🔹 we have made initial contact with universities that have foreign students. Soon, we will inform students about volunteering in Russia and invite them to join the friendship club
🔹 we have decided to organize a seminar for activists and association employees who work with young people from different countries
Our meeting in Kaliningrad proved that live communication and shared ideas can transform our surroundings.
🥰 Stay tuned for more updates, and join an International Friendship Club in your region!

Russia Day on the Field of Friendship 🇷🇺 🤝🇧🇷
To celebrate the holiday, WYFD organized a friendly soccer match in cooperation with the University of Brasilia in the capital of Brazil⚽️
Activists from the Brazilian Project Office, who are students of the Institute of Political Science, played two games. As always, friendship won because the main purpose of the game was to promote partnership, mutual understanding, and a shared goal rather than competition.
A special like for the most beautiful uniform!🫶
The World Youth Festival Assembly was also presented at the University of Brasilia🟢
Egor Litvinenko, the deputy head of Rosmolodezh, and Ivan Kryazhev, a WYFD representative, led the presentation. The Russian delegation informed the Brazilian students about the activities of our Directorate and the BRICS Project Office in Ulyanovsk.
The students asked questions and some of them applied for the WYF Assembly right away✅
We recommend following their example😉

Meet 17-year-old Delia Monaldi, a student from the Marche region in Central Italy. Half Italian, half Russian, Delia shares her story of growing up between two cultures — and finding beauty in their blend.
In her tale, you’ll find legends and rituals, the taste of Ascolana olives, and touch-free traditional dancing. Here, ancestors are revered, envy is lifted with melted butter, and one thing is certain: to truly understand Italy, you have to explore its regions.

🇲🇱🇷🇺 What do Pushkin, Cheburashka, and universities in Mali have in common?
Spoiler alert:practical youth cooperation.
🗓 From June 7 to 11, representatives of the WYFD visited Mali. During the visit, they met with local authorities and students, participated in debates, and visited an orphanage where Cheburashka made friends with the children.
Here are the highlights⤵️
The dialogue that continues after the Festival
✅ More than 1,000 young Africans, including those from Mali, participated in the WYF 2024. Today, they are not just a delegation, but real partners.
✅ Young people from Mali have joined the International Friendship Clubs, and we look forward to welcoming them at the WYF Assembly in September.
Education and language are the keys to cooperation
✅ Interest in the Russian language is growing in Malian lyceums, and it is already being taught in educational institutions.
✅ Our colleagues held lectures and meetings with teachers, recalling Pushkin and discussing the importance of language and culture for young people.
The media not only covers but also participates
✅ We announced WYFD events on national TV and invited young people to participate.
✅ We agreed to collaborate with Malian media outlets and universities on projects ranging from information partnerships to participation in thematic events.
We also visited one of the kindest places in Mali. WYFD representative Anastasia Chernobrivchenko brought Cheburashka to an orphanage🩷
Everything is just beginning! Follow our projects🟢
